fluorescent tubes, loudspeakers, electronics, MDF dimensions 12 m x 0,4 m
On the long wall of a room about 12 m x 6 m, 63 small fluorescent lamps, 26 cm long each, are arranged at regular intervals so that their centers lie all in a line; but they are all slightly rotated on their middle, each at a different angle. 16 loudspeakers have been mounted behind 16 of these lamps, on the reverse side of the wall. Their sound comes solely through a small slit in the wall, parallel to and hidden behind the lamps, so that the viewer almost does not see it, but only hears the sound. Quiet tones run along the wall in various rhythms. The bright, white, and statically visual room contrasts with the high speed and vibrancy of the tones, which have no content, but which tell a story of their own in combination with the experience of the room and the light.
