Filme und Fotos von allen großen Meeren werden auf eine Betonwand projiziert, die das Foyer des Neubaus des GEOMAR-Zentrums beherrscht. "Als ich die Wand das erste Mal sah, schien sie in ihrer zufälligen, durch die Schüttung des Betons entstandenen Erscheinung wie ein Darstellung der Ostsee im Winter und inspiriert mich zu dem Entwurf" Die Projektion ist so eingerichtet, dass die Struktur der Wand immer auch sichtbar bleibt, wenn die Videos darauf erscheinen, so dass die Architektur des Hauses nicht verändert sondern lediglich animiert wird. Die ca 850 Filme und Fotos werden in zufälliger Folge und mit sehr langsamer Überblendung während der Öffnungszeiten des Instituts abgespielt. Durch die Zufallsfolge und die hohe Zahl der Elemente, wird niemand zweimal die selbe Konstellation erleben.
Die Installation ist der Siegerentwurf eines Kunst-am-Bau-Wettbewerbs
