Bornheimer Feld, Potsdam (DE) within the Bundesgartenausstellung (Federal Garden Exhibition) 2001
The installation was conceived for an area of the Federal Garden Exhibition which was designed during the period of Kaiser Friedrich II as a site with trees for the animals (cattle) to have protection against bad weather. It was never realized. The installation happened at that site with the approximate dimensions only that there were no trees. Instead 160 loudspeakers were placed underground playing percussive sounds that moved from one speaker to the next across the area.
