Loudspeakers, mini-fluorescent lamps, computer-assisted sound distribution system

In the basement of the Akademie der Künste at Pariser Platz in Berlin an evenly distributed matrix of 6 x 10 loudspeakers was laid out on the floor. On each loudspeaker a mini fluorescent lamp was placed in a away that each lamp had an individual angle.
With the help of a computer program it iis possible to transfer a drawing onto the matrix. The audience, placed on the balkony could hear a drawing...
