Die Installation is designed in a very minimalistic style and consist only of the words “MEHR LICHT...” (more light...) that are installed in huge letters - lit by LEDs - visible from many places in the centre of the city. Comparable to those well known neon-advertisements on roof tops.

Its message in German combines several issues. By the use of the German language it reminds of the German-Mexican Year 2016, it refers to the German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the most famous poet of German language and who is the name patron of the German cultural institution - the Goethe-Institut
- which celebrates its 50th anniversary in Mexico this year. Further on it reminds on the fact that more lights shining on what people are doing can never be wrong and by this it is a sensitive political statement. Last not least it does what it says: it spends more light...

The installation is supposed to stay for the complete duration of the German-Mexican Year 2016.
