Sound Installation Felix Nussbaum Museum, Osnabrück (DE)
Loudspeakers, Electronics
Eight loudspeakers are installed under the grids in the 2nd floor along the narrow "hallway". Short soundbits, with a quality that allow the association of the sound of trains rattling over the tracks, are travelling at a relatively high speed from speaker to speaker along the path. Between each movement pattern there are longer pauses of silence.
The mood in the space is tranquil and contemplative and the sound level is relatively low. The sounds will only be audible in the defined areas, so that the visitor can move between rather silent sites with only visual artwork and the sounding areas of the installations.
