The two objects stood in two virtually identical rooms in the Irish Museum of
Modern Art in Dublin. Fluorescent tubes lay on a bed of broken glass from a light-bulb factory. The sound of breaking glass could be heard, emanating from loudspeakers in the four corners of each room.
